The Monsoon Photography Camp 2025, organized in collaboration with Malayala Manorama, the Kerala Forest Department, and the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), commenced on 4th July with an official flag-off ceremony held at the Malayala Manorama Office, Calicut.
The first regional leg of the camp was officially flagged off on 4th July 2025 by Mr. Anil Radhakrishnan, Senior Coordinating Editor, Malayala Manorama. The camp will be led by Mr. Balan Madhavan, acclaimed conservation photographer and Senior Fellow of iLCP. Participants will embark on a two-day field camp in the forests of Wayanad, where they will engage in hands-on photography, documenting the unique biodiversity and monsoon landscapes of the region.
The second regional leg of the Monsoon Photography Camp 2025, organized by Goethe-Zentrum in collaboration with Malayala Manorama, the Kerala Forest Department, and the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), was officially flagged off on 8th July 2025, at 10 AM.
The ceremony took place at the Malayala Manorama Kochi Office and was led by Mr. Joseph Sebastian, Centre Head, Goethe-Zentrum Kochi.
Renowned conservation photographer and Senior Fellow of iLCP, Mr. Balan Madhavan, continues to guide the participants as they head to the Parambikulam Tiger Reserve for a two-day immersive field camp. The participants will engage in intensive fieldwork, capturing the breathtaking monsoon-washed landscapes and rich wildlife biodiversity of the region.
The third regional leg of the Monsoon Photography Camp 2025, organized by Goethe-Zentrum, in collaboration with Malayala Manorama, the Kerala Forest Department, and the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), was officially inaugurated on 12th July 2025 at the Kerala Forest Department Headquarters, Trivandrum.
The camp was flagged off by Mr. Sujith R, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Kerala Forest Department.
This phase takes participants to the Thenmala Eco-Tourism Zone for an intensive two-day field camp. Under the mentorship of acclaimed conservation photographer and iLCP Senior Fellow Mr. Balan Madhavan, participants will engage in hands-on fieldwork, capturing the essence of Kerala’s monsoon landscapes and its rich biodiversity.
